Sci-Fi grunts
« on: 04 June 2013, 05:00:31 PM »
Here's a mash up of various parts; mainly a pack of Sci-Fi squaddies from a company called Pig Iron. After a bit of a bits box rummage I tried to make them a bit 40k'ish, so weapon swaps, helmets etc the heads are from Anvil.
More of a painting test-job than anything else . . .

I actually dig the overly chunky gear - as it's really more representative of an actual big combat load for an infantry soldier.  Pretty slick stuff.  Not a fan of the 40K mods, but the models in general are quite good.  Nice brushwork.

Spiffing camo on the grunts! You should go for a full size squad and maybe even a platoon :)

I agree. Very nice camo.

Pig Iron stuff is great - no doubt.
