"Battlefield of Dice" - August 2013

The Massillon Area Wargamers will be hosting a wargaming show/convention in Massillon Ohio at the American Legion Hall on August 24, 2013 called "Battlefield of Dice." This is a charity event as all proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project. The hall rental, the food, door prizes, etc. is all being donated so we hope to be able to make a decent donation.

What we need right now are game masters and traders to commit as well as a idea of the number of attendees to expect. There will be no charge to traders, although we hope they will make a donation based upon how well they do on the day. Each person running a game (max 2 per game) will be given free entry into the event of course. We will charge at the door for entry and ask each player for a donation to play a game. We are looking for a donation of $5.00 per gamer to enter and free entry to non-gaming spouses/partners/significant others. We'll be working on the honor system for the non-gaming part. To play a game we are asking donations from $1 to $3 per game. Keep in mind that all funds are going to the Wounded Warrior Project and not to the club or even to finance the event.

We will be arranging a bring & buy booth as well. Please let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions. We really need your support to help this worthwhile event get off the ground.
