Hinterland IHMN?
« on: 10 July 2013, 03:53:48 PM »
Has anyone done anything around making IHMN companies using Mancha's excellent Hinterland range?  I would if I were playing it at the moment, but I've been sucked into plastic pseudohistoricals.

I haven't yet, but I've been pondering it.

I think I'm going to have them show up as a counterpoint to the Society of Thule. No proper prussian woman would support the use of undead ;)

Then, in 1911 or thereabouts the society can re-emerge after being stamped out in the 1880s and Viktoria Luise can end them for good.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I've been looking at the figures; I'm not sure whether I'd make up a full company as I haven't thought it through properly yet, but I've certainly been thinking of a use for the pom-pom and the sailors.

Also the camel train is a must for my prospective Antiquarians Company/for general adventures in suitable regions of the world.

I have the same response as Dr. Mathis but am planning on using the sailors and Princess Erica as the company. Seems the princess would be the adventuring type!

I thought exactly the same, but as I have enough to be getting on with (and have not touched those for a month or so... ::)) I think that they can wait.

Bloody gorgeous figures, those sailors.

Wait a minute! I'm gonna have to fight a bunch of girls? I KNOW after crushing Thule, they'll be after my Tong, and the poor lone Dragon lady. How unfair!  lol

NOW I suppose I'll have to come up with a Flower Drum Corps...

Having featured Hinterlands fair ladies on the IHMN blog I would say a resounding Yes!

My club used my Hinterland Hussarettes for our first IHMN game a few weeks ago, since nobody really had any VSF stuff painted up yet.  While I am working on other VSF stuff now, the Hinterland ladies will continue to grace the table in IHMN sessions, as well as other VSF/Victorian excursions.
