Manoeuvred into painting a Gladiator
« on: 16 August 2013, 01:43:39 PM »
So I started this year on a mantra of no new projects and have stuck to it really well.

However, mate James was playing Blood on the Sand a couple of weeks ago and I was looking admiringly. But I stuck to my guns of not buying any new figures for new projects. However, he got around it by giving me a Gladiator to paint, you know, just to try it out and see how it feels.

The Git!

Here's my Murmillo

Yes this is the way of temptation, no one wargamer being of sound mind is able to refuse a miniature for free  :) Nice painting!

Nicely done. I really like the white shield.

What a clever man James is, enticing you into a new period with a free miniature, in an obvious attempt to rope you into play testing Blood on the Sands. The man's a genius!  lol

You only need a few more gladiators and your done. I hope you cave...  ;)

Thanks chaps, I wanted him quite toned down so just went for off white clothing and shield with black leatherwork.
