Laser Cutter?

Hi guys,
Hope this is on the right board. I'm looking for a reasonably priced Laser Cutting/Engraving machine in the UK that I can use to cut acrylic for my wifes jewellery making (and obviously I'll attempt some gaming stuff with it to). It would help if it were desktop sized and as I'll be using it pretty much idiot proof. I've seen the cheap Chinese made ones on ebay but having read reviews online they don't sound too good. Any of you fine chaps have any pointers that could steer me in the direction of the kind of machine I'm looking for?

Mate shoot Ian over at Fenris Games a pm or email,  he's only medway towns and I would expect able to give you plenty of pointers.  Lots of other people would help too but being only 1/2 hour or so away etc..
