They have long coats. Plenty of room for concealed weapons from sawn-offs to swords :D

@Saucy Jack what sort of rules did you have in mind? Apart from the distance they have to stay together rule. They act as normal members.
I don't really know, maybe something about movement. Dogs getting a bonus to their charge for every round they are still being handled - basically they will be more aggresive because they have been held back by the handler.
The handler is also only able to use one-handed weapons while handling the dogs.

Or maybe they should just stay together all the time. Being able to shot, but really most efficient in melee because both the hound and handler will be able to attack.

I have just bought the Wolfen Jaeger Houndmaster minis, but I'm not sure what to do with them regarding bases. I put the problem on my blog, so if you have a good suggestion about what to do, please comment.

I have thought about basing a little bit. Normal Rounds bases for when they are separate and a mdf movement tray underneath.

Or Splitting a cavalry base in half nad use magnets to hold the two halves together.

I did what Brummie Thug suggested with several of my figure bases in my Victorian collection.  However rather than use magnets to hold them together I used JTT plastic for form the cobblestones and that served as the connecting element, but you could do the same thing with scrap pieces of plastic on the underside of the base.  You can see the results in pics 9 and 62 (cyclists), pic 71 (musicians), pic 87 (photographer), and pic 41 (horse droppings cart/that base was lengthened rather than shortened but same process).  You can see those at www.warin15mm.com/Victorian-Gallery.html

Thanks for the replies Brummie and WarIn15MM  :)

@ WarIn15MM, I have no idea what JTT plastic is. I don't see how you can split the figures you mentioned in your reply

Jack, sorry if my reply was unclear.  JTT Plastic is plastic that comes in plain sheets or in molded sheets.  It is like Plastruct or Evergreen plastic but cheaper.  I didn't split the figures, I cut the horse bases and then regaled them together.  The plastic cobblestone covering added to the strength of the cut base.  But if you are going to cut the horse base and then give it a turf covering you can provided the added strength by gluing pieces of scrap plastic to the underside of the base for support.  I hope this is clearer.  Again, I'm sorry if my answer is or was confusing.  Richard

@War In 15mm  I think what Saucy Jack is after is a way of having the miniatures together on a base that can then be split when the hound is unleashed.
