Facebook-being useful
« on: 04 December 2013, 07:07:51 PM »
Have just come across this site on Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/ColouriseHistory?directed_target_id=0#
all the coloured photos I saw on the site were either WW I, WW II or the posed photos of British Crimean heroes. Very interesting and the people posting the photos seem knowledgeable.
There are a couple of other sites I look at on facebook that provide interesting photos;
https://www.facebook.com/britishindiahistory
 superb photos from the Raj varying from just after the mutiny all the way upto 47 and later and also
https://www.facebook.com/pages/British-Empire-Uniforms-1939-1943/365555366788383  which as it says on the label is a collection of photos showing uniforms worn around the Empire during the Second World War( and just preceding)
