Some help
« on: February 06, 2014, 12:53:07 PM »
Hi there
recental got the infinity bug and starting to collect Ariadna the french. Part of the way thpu while down at my local seller fine lead figurines and water paints i saw some green stuff and a box of cadian guardsmen, it hit me using guardmens, green stuff and bits boxs it could whip up a group to look spec ops like to use as proxy for infinty and other war games.

there is one question now.

anyone know how i was thinking something like this https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=conversion+for+imperial+guard&client=firefox-a&hs=1Ak&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&channel=np&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=03zzUqWNIbTB7AaZ0IC4Bg&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=664#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=Mc1tQyzpHO9tiM%253A%3BCzt9hPSzx-5E4M%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fdemonwinner.free.fr%252Fusa%252F2006Baltimore%252Fusbal06_staff_squad_2.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.warseer.com%252Fforums%252Farchive%252Findex.php%252Ft-32915.html%3B750%3B366 but i am not sure how ? :'(

To get started with greenstuff is hard so start simple and build up.

Some basic "rules" for using putty are http://www.coolminiornot.com/articles/1266-the-ten-commandments-of-epoxy-putty

You may want to start with belts and pouches maybe even gas masks or face coverings just simple bits to change the figures a bit.

Remember you can use greenstuff to fill gaps if you cut weapons and move limbs around. This will also get you used to the material.

Have a look at the e-learning at http://www.f4estudios.com

Good luck

There's the problem of size, of course. The IG guys will look like fat non-humans when compared with the official Infinity figures (who have better proportions).

I'm working on my own conversions for Infinity, but I've based it on this guys:

http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=106_107&products_id=843

Slightly smaller than the Infinity figures but their proportions are much more accurate.

I'll try and take some comparision pictures later today. I don't have Ariadna, just PanOceania but it should do the trick.

Green stuff is useful but it isn't the be-all end-all. On that note...
