Okay, I have one. There's an area called "Teufelsmoor" somewhere in Northern Germany which literally translated is "Devil's Bog". Now there's the place for an 12th level paladin to visit.

And I remember the town of Walla Walla in southern Washington State. I suppose a lot of the native American names have a certain otherness in the way they sound.

My all time favourite real world place name is near My mum & dad's in Suffolk.

Years ago I came across an address called "Hamsterley Gardens" which I think is in an area of Newcastle

I doubt it is as cute as it sounds

It is a housing estate in Annfield Plain near Stanley. And about as picturesque as a rusting baked bean tin.
