Fury of Dracula Miniatures
« on: 26 June 2008, 09:09:52 PM »
After quite some time of being totally lethargic concerning anything related to miniatures, I finally had the energy to paint the 20mm plastic miniatures included in EEs brilliant 'Fury of Dracula' boardgame from 1985.

Here they are, from left to right: Lord Godalming, 'Der Scheff'(As I lovingly call him), Van Helsing, Dr. Seward

Thank you guys!  :)

The paint job is not so outstanding, as I have measured them to be about 26mm from head to toe, though they seem to be much, much smaller. The metal miniatures from the limited edition of this game seem to be 20mm, though.

Wow, nice! :-* :-* :-* I particularly like Godalming's pinstripes and Seward's plaid trousers (a bit hard to see why Lucy would pick "Upper-class Twit Of The Year" there over the rather more hunky Dr. Seward, though- She must have been dazzled by the title).

They do make one wish they had made a Quincy, a Jonathan Harker, A Lucy, A Mina and a Renfield, though...

Did Citadel produce these or did GW just handle distribution of the Fury of Dracula game?

(I was under the impression that Citadel produced the figures, as they did with Heroquest, Warlock of Firetop Mountain, etc.)

Nice painting!
I have the new version of the game, from Fantasy Flight. They've added a new character, Mina Harper in this version. I keep thinking they could do with being painted....

Top stuff Vikotnik.Great work :)  I too have the original game at home with the lead figures and it gets played every so often. I still enjoy it. A very well conceived game. Is the new version the same or has it been changed(apart from the addition of Mina)?

I haven't played the original so I can't really comment but I have read online that they have introduced a few tweaks with the rules
