I can't recall who makes these, but they're very quick... just a green wash, and fun. They'll look good surrounded by green scenics.

I think Ainsty has stopped selling them now with Prodos having the AvP licence. Having met Andy several times at shows I can imagine him genuinely not wanting to step on their toes (he strikes me as a thoroughly decent bloke) rather than just being concerned over any legal warnings. He even linked to their site (I'm not intending on getting into any IP arguements here by the way, just pointing out that the figures shown are now OOP and that Andy from Ainsty is a nice guy!).

I have been in two minds about how to approach these models for years.  Previous ink wash jobs that I have seen sometimes look a little overworked I think.

You have convinced me to follow your lead 6milPhil.  The foliage works really well.

Any plans for some urban variants, for when they go Danny Glover hunting?

Thanks... I've a pair of Heresy Hurn too which might be more urban, but it's not as simple a paintjob. I'm still thinking about it.

Really effective. It seems really silly but I have looked at a lot of those clear resin casts of various miniatures over the years and just thought - why not have just have an empty base? But that was mainly because I wasn't quite sure what to do with clear resin.

This is superb, so simple and yet very evocative of the predator movies where they were not entirely invisible - at least not to the audience.

The wash to reflect the surrounding foliage is just ace. Really, really effective. Top stuff phil.

Manatic I did consider blue because at one point the pred's suit shorts out and has flashes of blue. I went for green though thinking how I wanted it to reflect the impossible to paint look it has.

I like the INAPs, and yours came out great.

I played with a bunch of different inks when working on mine.   Some came out better than others.







Over all, I'm happy with how they came out, and it was a fun and easy project.

I ended up using the inks technique on my Sedition Wars clear resins too:
