To be entirely honest not entirely sure I agree with Mancha's synopsis (it makes the book sound a hell of a lot racier than it actually is)....

'Wine & War: he French, the Nazis, and the Battle for France's Greatest Treasure' by the Kladstrups sounds like a better read (which I enjoyed on a trip after purchasing it in an airport bookstore).

I saw the film last monday... it wasn't very good :'(

Why am I not surprised, probably BASED (very loosely, as usual) on a true story!

I am also getting fed up of seeing George Clooney whinging on about the Elgin Marbles.....  :-[

The biggest problem with the movie is that it was like being on a canned tour of a major museum - it's obvious there is more than you are being told but they are trying to cram too much into to short of a period.
