projects of this kind show me that I am getting old.... I can't put the background of this anywhere...

Still, some of the miniatures look pretty well sculpted, another advance in 3D sculpt, especially the ratatouille ingredient.

I recognize the turtles though, so please let me ask just out of curiosity and ignorance - how does this work without licence or copyright waive from the franchise holders? Or do they have it?

If I'm restating something obvious that you already knew, I apologize. Nearly all the minis in this campaign are for use in Blood Bowl, with the Turtles being an exception.  Many of the unique figures are Star Player (or coaching staff) models from the rulebook, re-imagined in this new theme.  Without a frame of reference, I can see how it would be confusing, but I know exactly who "Eishen, the Head Splitter," "Skitex, the Assassin," etc. are meant to represent in Blood Bowl without having seen them before. They're just re-themed special characters. Some of the stuff further down the page are models they've already produced and have for sale currently in their store, but can be used to make alternate teams if you mix them with the new models they're producing through this Indigogo campaign... that's the long way of saying you can mix your "ratmen" and "goblin" teams to make an "Underworld" team.

I hope that helps a little.  The turtles are indeed great figures, but they don't have a specific purpose on the page in terms of Blood Bowl (yet), while almost everything else does.

p.s. Hoky Jo looks like he is meant to be a ref figure, as he's holding up a red card.

THX for clarification - Yes, Bloodbowl rings a bell, and I actually realized the fantasy foorball direction after visiting the fabulous website.
And they are great sculpts, as are the turtles. Although not my cup of tea  :?

so good luck with the project  :)

Ok, looks like a 90 Euro pledge will get all 15 "not-turtle" minis (assuming they unlock) that's not a terrible deal, though I would prefer a 4 turtle option.

Haven't looked at the sculpts in the  campaign, but with customizable weapons(even 10-thumb I could try fabricating 'chuks), if it were *16* turtles (they're just not-T.U.R.T.L.E.), you might be able to split them up with three friends.  lol

I find this confusing:

Quote
9 Hero chosen from: Wartart (choose weapon), MindGolem, Rhinor (choose head), Razorbog (choose head), Rat Master - when UNLOCKED : Yaso, Blade Master, Add-on
6 Troupe models chosen from: Tartalar, Iron Fang, Blade Clan, Miss May, Hoky Joe

So which ones are the 4 turtles? Wartart or Tartalar?

Its definitely confusing. Im trying to soldier through it as gaming TMNT has been on my to do list for a long time. But they sure arent making it easy...

I think that a Tartalar is an unarmed turtle ostensibly for sports games. A Wartart is a Tartalar with weapons.

So Wartart = not-TMNT.

WK, the mention of "Tartalar" in your quote is to illustrate which models are equivalent in pledge terms.

I think.

Ok, assuming one picks 4 war tarts and specifies weapons, how to be sure the heads will be the right ones? And I see some I the bodies have extra armour too.

My ability to speculate with any confidence breaks down around there.
