Waaaay OT
« on: 16 March 2014, 03:27:19 AM »
Okay, has anyone tried using anthropomorphic animals for IHMN?  Now that would be a wild team!

Nurse, his medicine!

Why, yes, I just did visit the Dark Sword Miniatures site (influenced by an Evilbay auction to do so.)

Not that I expect anyone to have actually done that... Steam punk Guinea Pigs x 3, Mole Alchemist (Mad Science type,) , Victorian female Cat...

A bit too pricey for me despite the quality...

Gracias,

Glenn

 :o ... pricey, but a lot of fun ...
an alternative can be to use eureka minis ... with a little conversion job ... turtles, frogs, rabbits, mice
Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

I've been collecting figures to build a "Through the Looking Glass" company.

Reaper puts some figures out to facilitate this:

Jabberwocky, Alice and the White Rabbit and two Clay Golems (Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum; these will require beanie caps made of green stuff)).

I've dug up some Confrontation figs to round out the company, only because they sort of resemble unusual Victorian-era characters.

If anyone knows of any other ranges that contain such figs, let me know.  Looking for a Dormouse and a better version of the Mad Hatter than I already have.

I would not have a problem with unusual companies. Creativity is a hallmark of this game. Through the Looking Glass is a great idea for a company. I have an old OOP Foundry Mad Hatter, 'Jack the Hatter,' with a knife that you could try to source. (Mine is mine.)

How about Rupert Bear and friends, 'League of Extraordinary Gentleman' style?

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

My "Army of the Abandoned" is all Alligator-Men, mostly from Privateer but with a few others mixed in there from Crocodile Games and Impact. I haven't finished statting them out yet, though.

Howabout Ocelot Games Grandville miniatures (28mm), based on the wonderful graphic novels by Bryan Talbot?
The graphic novels:-

Grandville Miniatures:-

Grandville's LeBrock himself:-

I'm slapping some paint on LeBrock at the moment, though not up to this standard, obviously

Elprez you beat me to it. Was just going to mention the Grandville miniatures. Have Le Brock and Ratzi painted up and am hoping to pick up Billie (and the villains if they are ready) at Salute.

Again, a slightly expensive route but the crooked dice pig heads or ape heads could also be used in converting...

Planet of the apes VSF style, now that's a though.

I'm going to use the Grandeville miniatures for my own Moreau's Men.
