I just received some a couple of weeks ago.  They were ok - just a little more flash on a few of the figures than many manufacturers, but not horribly so.

Got my Great War freikorps last year and the casting was fine.
You can use Copplestone turks with headswaps for more variation w officers. Mix them with white russians for Latvia maybe..

The first two packs of Brigade's Austrians were done by Mark Sims of Crusader and are quite similar in style to copplestone. Mixed with russians they'd make perfect POWs, or Hungarian reds.

The Brigade Germans are fine too. Sizewise similar to the early BoB packs. I have the light ki and stormtroopers mixed for my freikorps.

I am sorry that your toys were not up to standard ...
A few years ago we had a different caster making our WW1 range, we now get everything cast and packed by North Star, if you have any problems please return your purchase along with as much harsh words and dare I say bad language as you see fit... :D
Nick is a very nice man and will do all he can to help...(we also know where he lives 8))

All the best. Aly
