we have updated the site with pictures of the Naran Future Wars battle, we played at the National Clubs Tournament of  Warhammer 40k, organized by Maurizio De Guidi and Ugo Oliveti in the premises of the Parish of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary - 161 Bardonecchia Street - Turin on Sunday June 1st, 2014.

Great battle as always is Naran the system you're using or the name for your setting?

We use a set of rules named "NARAN FUTURE WARS", a sci-fi version of the well-known wargame Fantasy Warriors - former Grenadier - which is now being distributed free of charge by the Italian company Mirliton and by the English EM4, which are held on the property. By the time we have an excellent relationship with Mirliton, and from it we had permission to put in our site an our variant of Fantasy Warriors, "NARAN FANTASY WARS" in which we have included also some of the changes suggested in the forum of Frothers.
The name Naran: we have invented it for the fantasy world that formed the background to Naran Fantasy Wars, then we have expanded it to a galaxy for the futuristic version. See our site http://www.naran.it/

Are all your samurai armed with guns and if not how do you balance melee fighters against people who can shoot at them?

In the army of Samurai, essentially based on ex Warzone miniatures and Urban Mammoth miniatures, the majority of the units is equipped with firearms. Some do not have them and behave in much the same way as in Warhammer. If they survive the fire and manage to get in close combat, then they will have a superiority in combat.
