Great resource. I love the Rocket images from the 50's and 60's. I think they promise so much.

I will see if I have any images to add to this thread.

Someday somebody will appear from outer space to shatter your dreams and ideas of what space travelling and alien races are like...  :D

I can offer a black Dan Dare T-shirt, a little worn, a little faded, but still wearable...  :D
The print says Sufferin´ Satellites! Dan Dare - Pilot of the Future and shows the man himself in space suit.

As long as Snappy won't fit into it you'll be safe in bringing it to view.  lol

It'll have to be XXL around the beer-gut area for it to fit me!

It is XL size, but I am pretty sure that it is made of some flexible fabric called cotton...

Thanks for making me smile Prof!

As I was scrolling from the top I was thinking about my copy of 'By Space Ship to the Moon'. I bought it at a school fair in the 1990s as Pratt's images (the book's from 1952!) remind me of drawings my father did in the 1960s when he was at university. He colated them in a scrap book with newspaper and magazine articles from the time.

Space travel must really have blown people's mind back then (hell, it blows my mind now to think what we can do when we're not killing each other...).

Have you been down the Op Shop again???  I wish our local sold some decent books...at good prices.  Best I could get was a copy of "Little Wars"....

My web surfing goes far and wide and when I find em, I put em up for interest sake. I'm scoping these, but will probably put them on the back burner as Bob Murch's finest have priority at the moment.  ;)
