Do it with paper, it's quicker and then you can have printed covers...

Print a picture of a book cover, cut it out, add some sheets of paper, fold over, glue and bingo ... sometimes it takes someone else to point out the obvious! Well I might just have to try that!!

No have a look at the jpeg on that link. The idea is to cut a long strip of paper with the cover at one end and just fold and glue it to the thickness needed. It's easier to try it than to explain it, so give it a go.

That's the type of thing I was thinking - what you've done with that mini's figure. (Is that Rose from Doctor Who by any chance?)

I take it you are saying you made it out of Rizla paper?

yep, not that you can tell from the angle, but I did a crushed beer can (rizla rolled around a cocktail stick and then crushed flat and painted), a burger wrapper (rizla scrunched and crushed and painted) and a chip paper (same again)
