ww1 Romanians
« on: 31 July 2014, 04:44:56 AM »
I wasn't sure where to ask this but LAF seems like the sort of mad place to! I have a bunch of 15mm ww1 Austrians, that I was going to paint up as Austrians. But I have always been interested in the Balkan wars and was wondering if simply painting them they could pass as Romanians. I haven't looked through any uniform books recently but from what I can remember the uniform is quite similiar. Any thoughts would be much appreciated?

I was thinking of early war, so helmets are not an issue as noone wore them! Thanks for the link aswell.

seriously, even in 20 mm one could make generic troops with a few uniform cuts and straps, all the same pants, puttees and shoes. I am surprised none did a basic plastic set which can be augmented with metal. but in 15mm? how bad can it be?

'even in 20 mm one could make generic troops with a few uniform cuts and straps, all the same pants, puttees and shoes.' It may be an interesting project for someone to create, say, a German army from British figures, just for fun...
