Panzer Zerstorer E50
« on: August 07, 2014, 11:49:42 AM »
In my recent post of the build of this beast,
(which was unceremoniously deleted)
it was obvious that there was a noticeable "droop" in the gun barrel.......

This was a problem in the master.....
so..... I cut the mantlet from the barrel.....
drilled it out (about 1/8 " deep).....
cut 1/8" from the rear end of the barrel....
and glued them back together.

while this "shortened" the gun,
it still allowed it to keep a "respectable" length.
the best thing is that it cured the droop.

There\'s a reason why one side of a Claymore  is marked,
\"Front Toward Enemy\".

I like that very much! The droop now that you pointed it out was significant. The new version is perfect!
