Erato, muse of lyric poetry
« on: 08 August 2014, 08:32:43 AM »
Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a mini that could represent Erato the greek muse of lyric poetry.
I want to make a statue whith it so the mini could be bigger than 25mm.
Anyone would have an idea where I can find a mini that could do the trick ?

Cheers !

Eureka's Amazons (musicians for example) are quite nice if not necessarily statuesque.
A bit more quirky but still serviceable are Foundry's Greek gods. To my mind much better - if lacking "divine" attributes - are the women in their Greek heroes range.
Of course it's always worth checking large scale ranges (54mm and up). Sorry, no links at hand as I'm talking off the top of my head.

Eureka's : the one with the aulos would be perfect for Euterpe, the music muse who invented the aulos.
Foundry : I had the same thought but I couldn't find the right mini for a conversion.
54 mm : I'll have a look...

Thanks for your help !

Ah, well, missed that difference between Erato and Euterpe. ::)

Second look, found her:

Pricey and not the best representation of Ancient Greek fashion, but at least some clothes - and a harp. ;)

It'll probably need a bit of work, but Morland Studios Swan Maiden might suit?
