Wow, fantastic work!

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Hi

I put these two games on at my local club over the weekend and must apologise for the lack of detail in the AAR but even as an umpire became to engrossed in the action to keep a detailed note on what was taking place.

The first wave, minus an LCT that was sunk by a sea mine hits the beach.

Close of a LCT

The first wave of assault troops heading for the sea wall, bravely running across the minefield as the British had sen the triangle engineers to the beach!

The Germans provided stiff resistance.

The Brits focused their efforts on silencing Riva Bella, here the assault, infantry ready themselves to go over the sea wall.

The Germans continued to resist and even when the Brits had captured what was left of the casino and moved into Ouistrenham they successfully counter attacked to take a house back of the very surprised Brits.

Here the defenders of Hillman search for a target.

Mean while on Pegasus Major Howard leads the Oxs and Bucks across the bridge to secure Ham and Jam.

A German view of the beach as various Afvs are burning.

The assault on the Casiono being organised

Am afraid my photo taking them came to an end but we ran out of time as ever...

The Germans could claim a victory based on the price they made the British pay to secure the beach, they did however rout the defenders of Pegasus and drive off the counter attack, but they were going to have to wait a while for reinforcements.

Hope you enjoy it, am desperate to play myself and will post photos of the next game and perhaps do a more detailed report.

Cheers

Phil

Speaking as someone who was there (at the game, not the real Sword Beach! :) ) I can report it was a great game and a very friendly club.  Looking forward to the next instalment!

Thanks Gents.

Mark was pipe free but did over hear him mention that I had not modelled the canal and that there was a Sexton with no crew.... ;)

Lovely AAR. The effort you poured into the table and game really shows. Well done.
