Suggestions for figures please.....

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get ideas for what figures to buy.....  I'm after something in 10mm or maybe as small as 6mm to represent some Nac Mac Feegle.  For those not familiar with the Nac Mac Feegle......



I probably only need a dozen or so.  I'm thinking some sort of Celt/Gallic, ideally they should be wearing kilts, preferably with bare chests and without shields.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Well, these are by no means a perfect match, but the first thing that springs to mind is Copplestone's 15mm fantasy stuff.  Many of the Barbarians, with blue skin and red hair, would be an OK match for the illustration you provided, although they do lack the kilts.

If 15mm is too big, then perhaps Pendraken's 10mm Gallic fanatics or warband, or their 10mm fantasy barbarians?

I've seen them done using figures from Baccus 6mm but coudln't tell you which ones.  The sire is fairly well illustrated IIRC.

Strictly speaking you should just have an empty scenic base for nac-mac-feegle as they wouldn't let big yins see them until it's too late

Remember the 'Stealth Fighter' entry years ago at one of the IPMS contest? It showed an empty tarmac, a crew ladder and a very puzzled pilot. I believe it won a prize.

Seriously, I feel that either the Pendraken Goblins or the Kallstra Orcs would give you a nice base to work from.

@ WillieB - thanks for those suggestions.  I like the look of the Pendraken Barbarians, may order a pack or 2 to see what they are like in the flesh.

That stealth fighter is a great idea  .  Maybe he should have done the silhouette darker - just the shadow and matched it with the shadow of the steps/pilot.
