WW1 Size comparison for Calimero
« on: 10 October 2008, 08:05:28 AM »

The miniatures are from left to right:
Renegade Brit, Renegade Brit, Great war Brit , Great War Brit, Musketeer Brit, Musketeer Brit, Musketeer Brit, Brigade Yank,  Brigade Italian, Brigade German & Copplestone German.

Sorry the picture is not the best but it gives you an idea of the size of the musketeer miniatures. It has surprised me seeing them all in a line, there not as small as i thought. It's just a shame that i don't have any foundry to compare with.

the old foundry great war minis are about the size of the Brigade Italian, if not a tiny bit smaller!

Yes, the initial packs of Brigade Italians and Austrians sculpted by Mark Sims are a wee bit smaller than the rest of my range. Tis of course has been corrected in the upcoming Brigade Games Italian and Austrian additions by Paul Hicks.

It's often not the physical size of the mini that's the problem, people being naturally of different heights.  It's the fact that the equipment doesn't match up between ranges.  An SMLE is 44.5'' in length, no matter whether you're 5'6'' or 6'5''.

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/
