Should I get rid of ads on my blog?

Ok, what do you think: I've got the free version of a wordpress blog at the moment and know that there are ads. However, I don't see them as I've been using adblock for ages. Still, I sort of feel …. unclean about those ads 
I could purchase an upgrade to get rid of them for $30,-
Thing is, I don't even know if other blogs have ads or not as I use adblock. How do you other bloggers do it, and are you as a reader bugged by ads?

I have just looked on your blog, I couldn't see any ads, I don't have ad block.

Interesting. When I look at it through the admin interface, there is a box that says that visitors may see an ad here. I asked a friend to make a screenshot once, and he send me some generic travel ad.
Well, if they are there only occasionally, I guess I'll spare myself the 30 quid...

I just visited your blog and saw no adds either.  I also don't have adblock.
