They look great. Miniature artworks. Toby has done a great job as usual. I really love the period character and detail and elegance in these figures - unfortunately, I couldn't get on with them from a painting point of view, and they are stylistically and stature-wise incompatible with anything else out there, so the few packs I bought, I rapidly sold on.
That's a great collection though  :)

Wow what a fine sight to behold!
I must try to get some paint on mine this year... Stylistically they are 'sort' of compatiable with some of Warlords and Tags Ecw offerings, i'd say but it depends on personal preferences I guess.

Pre NMA I like to think that there would quite a difference in styles of the same items of clothing, with some regiments (perhaps the country trained bands) wearing more 'old fashioned' styles.

Nice work. We did look at the Empress figures when we toyed with the idea of doing some ECW, though it got shelved again when we properly considered the cost of (yet another) new project.

Thanks all - Lance, you make a great figure! (Toby - if you read this, once again, thank you - great job!). As for styling - I can't help it if certain manufacturers can't do their research properly ;)

As for the deep blocks - it's very deliberate. I cannot understand this latest craze for 4 deep pike blocks and 2 deep musket blocks. Look at any contemporary picture and you'll get my point. It seems current rule writers have never heard of fire by rotation! Take a look at this (Naseby)

The ECW must be one of the most misunderstood Wargames periods out there.  :D
