LotR - Elves vs Orcs battle report
« on: April 02, 2015, 02:34:56 PM »
I don't often post my stuff up here on LAF as I usually just stick it onto my personal gaming blog -  http://littleodo.blogspot.co.uk/. However, I thought I would make an exception here and show you what I have been up to with my two boys whilst on our Easter holiday...

Following on from a previous Rohan vs Easterlings account (also on the blog), the boys decided they wanted to use their own figures this time.

Initial set up was as follows, but a sneaky move by my youngest had him creep back into the gaming room after it was set up to move two of his orc archers.

After a few spats of long range missile fire, melee was resumed on the river side of the board.

The orcs had the better of things to begin with...

But slowly, the elves turned the tide of battle...

Until the orc leader was hacked down and both sides determined to retreat to lick their wounds...

The full battle report is on the blog, as well as the previous skirmish. My latest forays into painting some scenery are also present. I recently started to blog again after a three month hiatus from gaming and painting. My gaming mojo is getting back to normal and I feel the need to get my Lord of the Rings stuff aired for all to see. Hopefully there will be many more updates over the coming year, both battle reports and painting logs.

Nice stuff! I, too, am just starting on a lotR project so it will be nice to see someone else's journey :).

Looks like a fun game! Looking forward to more.
Now what is this whole life of mortals but a sort of comedy, in which the various actors, disguised by various costumes and masks, walk on and play each one his part, until the manager waves them off the stage?
