Ahhh I was trying to work out where that went. The code isn't much use now, but thanks... I think.
Can I have a copy of the deleted post via pm please, it took me 45 minutes to compile and was my only copy.
If links to copyrighted material are forbidden that makes a lot of links verbotten doesn't it? The videos linked to in the Pulp forum, which Dr Mathias mentioned when I asked him where my post had gone, seem to be acceptable.
Basically, if it has "Full Movie" in it, it is very much no-go. This is a very muddy legal area, but lacking decisive rulings, there are very real risks involved posting links to full movies on Youtube or similar streaming sites.
Generally, if it is a trailer or a video made by someone (e.g. tutorials) who is the rights holder and allowed embedding on Youtube, it is okay to post (e.g. those fascinating "restoring Hot Wheels Cars" clips you recently posted - it is free advertising for the uploader, anyway). If it is a copyrighted work, e.g. currently available on DVD, pay-per-view etc. and not in the public domain, then no links should be posted.
To clarify, this applies primarily to links to streaming sites. Filehosting services are completely out of the question and a high-risk affiliation.
As with most of these issues, if you are in doubt, please feel free to ask.
