Album - Semi-Historical Amazons
« on: 13 January 2017, 11:59:41 AM »
I'm working on some Scythian/Sarmatian inspired warrior women for a roleplaying game and wanted to show off my progress:

Some in soft hats/caps

One in a tall hat, one in helmet

And a painted example, also with soft cap

You made me look. But I need something to look at. Images? Links?
You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

Those are awesome! I'd like something similar for my OGAM Greeks/Macedonians, but not sure I have the time/skill to kit bash like that.

Nice work! Where had you sourced the heads for the conversions?

Thank you! The heads are from Statuesque, their "pulp scale female heads"

The hairstyles are very modern, but with hats on you don't really notice  ;)

Thank you! When I started these conversions I did not think I had the skill!

Nicely done! So where did you source the rider's bodies? I don't recognize them.

They are Gripping Beast 'Arab Heavy Cavalry' with minimal conversion. The stirrups have been cut off and the some bow arms used for sheild arms instead. Shields will be a mix of conversions from the same set and a few from Fireforge's 'Russian Medieval Infantry'
