BTW, since I cast the Enchant Weapon AND the Embed Enchantment Out Of Game (on my injured infantryman's weapon), if it's not allowed to leave a soldier unarmed in this way, I must have cast it on my wizard's sword and sold that, since I was buying a (better) magic sword for her anyway.
I was always going to upgrade my soldiers between games by dismissing one and hiring an improved soldier, game by game, until I got the soldiers I really wanted but couldn't afford at the start of the campaign. I might as well dismiss the injured ones, to show compassion for them and their families by letting them out of their contract early.
