Still, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Tell that to the injury table...  ;)

Strange. The weapon I just created is a magic weapon which gives +1 Fight, indistinguishable from one you find as treasure. Maybe Joe hadn't considered that possibility when he wrote the rules, but the rules he wrote seem to allow it.

Do you have his quote?
See p53 of the Rules sticky topic for the latest discussion and Joe's repetition of his answer.

Yeah, I think he'd seen it, seeing as Joe was replying to his question.  ;D ;)

Thanks. Yeah it was me who asked him on page 53.

Do you have the quote (or the page) where the topic came up earlier?

BTW, since I cast the Enchant Weapon AND the Embed Enchantment Out Of Game (on my injured infantryman's weapon), if it's not allowed to leave a soldier unarmed in this way, I must have cast it on my wizard's sword and sold that, since I was buying a (better) magic sword for her anyway.

I was always going to upgrade my soldiers between games by dismissing one and hiring an improved soldier, game by game, until I got the soldiers I really wanted but couldn't afford at the start of the campaign. I might as well dismiss the injured ones, to show compassion for them and their families by letting them out of their contract early. :)

You know those gold foil covered chocolate coins? I got some for Christmas, and it gave me an idea: I used them as the treasure tokens.

First, when a figure picks up the treasure it is a stable base and can easily be moved around the board with the figure on top.

Second, at the end of the game you can eat all the treasures you've won. :)

Mmmmm tasty idea. :-)

In the few games I have played I found having a useful but not too difficult spell to cast from your own school helps getting a few spells of in early games. Spells like leap, heal and telekinesis are very useful and allow you a better than even chance of casting them. ;)
