Victrix Plastic French Napoleonic Artillery
« on: 26 July 2015, 11:11:30 PM »
To be released very soon according to the Victrix website, the last tooling kinks being about to be ironed out :

Quote from:
The set contains:

A choice of 8pdr or 12 pdr guns for the Gribeauval system.

15 highly detail crew figures with a choice of bicornes to represent artillery from 1804 to 1806 or covered and uncovered shakos for line artillery from 1806 to 1812.

Also Guard artillery bearskin heads and arms with fringed epaulettes to represent Imperial Guard foot artillery.

This particular set is 28mm, though Victrix are also releasing a 54mm French artillery crew and gun in resin.

Nope, and no howitzer to complete a typical wargames four gun battery either. I suppose the limbers and howitzer will be produced separately, though Victrix seems to have completely given up on metal products.

Dunno if they plan to do a similar box with An XI 6 pdrs for the post-1809 period as well.

You can always use one of the howitzer barrels from the British artillery set.
I've got some of the French artillery on order, but they seem to have been having some problems and there's been a delay.

They did, and they don't seem intent on adding any more metal products to their Napoleonic range.

One thing that I really like about this set is that the figures don’t seem to suffer from the "long legs, short torso syndrome" like their other Napoleonic figures… ;)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/
