Correct resin for moulds?
« on: August 23, 2015, 10:32:07 AM »
Hi,

What resin is suitable for going into a mould for casting?

For example, lets say you sculpt soe minitures in kit form and then cast them yourself in resin and then send them off to go into a rubber mould for casting metal.

Do you need to use a certain type of resin that will withstand the vulcanization process? and can the same resin be used for making your own moulds aswell?

Thank you...

You are probably best off asking the person who will be making the mold.  Pretty much anything can be reproduced if you are willing to go through enough intermediary steps and expense.
