3rd War & Conquest National Tournament
« on: 16 November 2015, 09:24:21 AM »
I have just returned from a weekend of wargaming in the above tournament at Foundry premises near Newark. Seventeen of us fought it out for glory including Rob Broom the author of the rules, there were two divisions, Dark Ages and Classical with the World of the Greeks. It was a great occasion and there were some beautiful armies fighting for dominance, here are some photos of the figures and the first of a two part report you can find on my blog with more pictures.

Viking raider cavalry.

Arab cavalry, my photo does not do them justice.

Beautifully painted Thracians.

The sharp end of some Spartans.

The blog link below seems broken, hope this works http://musingswargameslife.blogspot.co.uk/

Looking very fine!  I particularly like the Arabs.

I believe that cloth is hanging basket material- looks very effective!  Might need a length of that myself.

No Simon, don't go near it, it is terrible, the dice do not land square and the stuff snags on bases and weapons, I am still picking stuff out of my troops from a year ago.

I'm sure I will Rob,
Next on my list to buy!

Just recently turned into a real life worker, doing 60-70 hours a week, which leaves little time for anything else  :-[

I've got a half painted late republican Roman army staring at me from my shelves....
