« on: 03 December 2015, 10:23:10 AM »
Hi all,
Well here is my take on the Avengers, in 15mm!

Cap!

Thor

Hawkeye (the bow is a staple!)

Iron man

And here's a pre paint job photo shoeing the minor greenstuff work

Hope you like them!

Really clever, really cool.  :-* :-* :-* :-*

What figures did you use as the basis for them?

I agree - great conversions and painting. Converting 15mm with greenstuff is something I've never tried.

Thanks guys :)

What figures did you use as the basis for them?

These are all converted Old Glory Superfigs except for the Hulk, which is an old (awful sculpt but scrubs up alright) Marvel Miniatures mini which I picked up off EBay. Finding a hulk which wasn't insanely huge was tough actually, so he will have to do.

15mm conversion isn't too bad, just need to not drop bits on the floor! I have been known to do 6mm head swaps, so this was a piece of cake lol

I think some bad guys should come next, as well as some Agents of Shield.

And there may be something extremely large hovering in the wings, but more on that another time....

Cheers

Wow! This is really great. I am greatly interested in the Thor conversion. Could you give some more information on the basic model you used for this one? Id love to copy this idea!

I like the gritty painting style.  Good conversions.

Grand show - the conversions are spot on, and the paint job works splendidly.  8) 8) 8)
Cap's stripes in 15mm....I'd never manage that!

Thanks DivisMal. OK so I only have two work in progress shots of Thor. He is based on an Old Glory superfigs 15mm model - I assume he is meant to be a not-he-man.

First up sword was replaced with a paper clip, the hammer head is a piece of sprue with the edged chamfered with a hobby blade. His cloak is a 28mm plastic cape from Crusader mounted men at arms, cut down a little.

Next up I need to fix his hair with greenstuff. I also filed off his fringe which didnt lool right. For his armour he gets some thin strips on the front, hanging down past his legs, and a couple of small circles too.

And a costume reference pic

Sorry not the best photos but hope it helps! Make sure you post your results when you finish him!

Cheers The Baron

Great! I actually have this not-He-Man somewhere (though I think he is modelled after someone else).

Im not very experienced with greenstuff, but your Avengers really inspired me! Thank you for that.
