Chronos - God of Time
« on: 14 February 2016, 11:31:49 AM »
Can anyone help.  I'm looking for a 28mm figure to act as "Chronos - the God of Time" in a 15mm Fantasy HOTT Campaign.  Most of the figures are 15mm Demonworld figures - so the figure will need to be compatible with that style but as the figure is a god I'm looking for a 28mm figure, or at least something hat will fit on a 40mm x 40mm base.

Ta!

The one on the left from the current GW wizard kit perhaps?

Quote from: Wikipeedja
Chronos is a god, serpentine shape in form, with three heads—those of a man, a bull, and a lion.[citation needed]...

Chronos was confused with, or perhaps consciously identified with, due to the similarity in name, the Titan Cronus already in antiquity,[1] the identification becoming more widespread during the Renaissance, giving rise to the allegory of "Father Time" wielding the harvesting scythe.

Chronos is usually portrayed through an old, wise man with a long, grey beard, similar to Father Time.

Blimey.

I guess the second image might be easier to find in miniature form. Although nothing springs to my mind beyond WK's suggestion.

Sorry, didn't research that properly. Most images that turned up featured a guy with a scythe, an hourglass and a pair of wings.

Thanks White Knight - the front runner so far.

However, to me this looks too much like a mage that can manipulate time.  What I'm really looking for is a model that embodies time, that IS time.

You might try to convert something yourself around a very small hourglass. Maybe wrap a cloak around it and give it an old man's face, a bended staff, a hefty tome, some short arms and legs. I tried looking for a figure like that, but Google let me down hard  ;).
