Naval Brigade-Gatling Gun harness?

Hi All,

Does anyone know what the harnesses/rigs looked like for the gatlings and nordenfeldts that the Naval Landing parties used in the Sudan campaigns of 1884-85?  Were they some sort of leather harness or wooden/metal crossties on the trail? And how did they haul the ammo?  Camels...or did the use a hand-rig for caissons too?

I'm sure I have seen an 'Illustrated London News' print of the Naval Brigade hauling guns, but I can't be sure. If I do remember correctly, it was just a leather harness, like rucksack straps. But I could be wrong, and I can't check my sources, as they are packed away. 

The Naval Brigade did use camels on the Nile Campaign. I've read an anecdote, about them using tar to 'patch' the sores of camels. Not as bad as it sounds, as it contained an antiseptic, IIRC.
