Looking for a 28mm manequin
« on: 13 May 2016, 10:03:28 PM »
For my next building build I want to make a (ruined) shop. For that shop I need a few basic manequins as windowdressing. A friend directed me to the Hasslefree blanks for scultping, but ordering those gets expensive quick for something that essentially will just get cut up and dismembered.

Are there any other options? If not, what english word do I need to google to find such blank models?

Edit: Found one at eBob but that is not the type I need. And I just realised it is actually a puppet...... His skeleton blanks are perfect though for other things so I will grab some of those.

Have you looked at the generic figs from Bronze Age? http://www.bronzeagemin.com/

Really muscular, and the faces are showing more emotion than a mannequin would.

There would probably be a few superhero figs that have mostly painted on costumes that would work as mannequins, and probably a few in the prepainted clicky based stuff.

Cheaper/poorer quality O-scale railroad figures might also look suitably lifeless and off-proportion to serve as mannequins (albeit clothed ones).

....but no arms and hands. I know my skills so if does not have arms and hands it is of no use to me. Looks like I need to sell more stuff to fund a Hasslefreen purchase then .

I do know them, and I had not even realised they sold these! Great find, those will do fine. I needed more Greenstuff anyway.

Thank you!
