Hey guys Going to another country and Gamers there are playing Sharpes Practice. I have been playing Black Powder in 28mm and have a large Based French army for those rules.  1- Are these ok for Sharpes Practice? and 2- Will I need to make Some Skirmishers?

How do you have them based at the moment? To quote a bit of the Sharp Practice 2 rulebook: "Our ordinary figures operate in Groups. A Group will be between six and ten figures for regular troops, and twelve figures for Irregular or Tribal forces."

As an example of French "Peninsular War" troops, line infantry come in 8s, voltigeur skirmishers in 6s and cavalry of all types in 8s.

And you will only need skirmishers if you want to field some skirmishers. The rules allow you considerable latitude in building the force that you put on the table but also provide examples of army lists, eg: French Regulars up until 1812 might be four groups of 8 line infantry and two groups of 6 voltigeurs.

Sharp Practice uses single figure casualty removal so it is easiest if you have your figures singly based and use movement trays. However, there is no reason why you cannot use multi-based figures and simply track casualties with a marker or micro-dice.

Most Napoleonic Regulars operate in Groups of 8 in 2 ranks so 2 Black Powder bases can make a Group easily.

You will almost certainly want to field skirmishers. They come on groups of 6 in a looser formation so singly based is ideal.

What you will need are singly based officer/NCO figures to act as Leaders. Roughly 4-6 depending on the size of force you want to use. The odd musician or Colour bearer is handy as they are available as a support option.

My regulars are all multi based on 40mm squares (in fours for infantry, pairs for cavalry).
However, I have quite a lot of single based figures for use as skirmishers, and also enough to 'make change' when multi-based figures take casualties.
You can of course use hit markers or microdice to mark casualties, but I find it simple enough just to replace a base with single figures.
We often find in the heat of the action casualty markers get overlooked.

We use multiple bases figures with our older armies, we just paint up several single figures to allow individual figure removal.
