A blog entry about the unforgettable 1/72 Airfix, the beauty of 1/72 soft plastic miniatures and pics to show they can be an excellent alternative for the more expensive 28mm hard plastic miniatures, sometimes, here: http://amsterdam6shooters.nl/node/756

1/72 plastic figures are fun to play/game with.
www.plasticsoldierreview.com is a great place to see plastic figures from the different manufacturers and they are also classified by period.

I agree. I've got a stack of Hat's Punic Wars boxes stashed to use as Carthaginian & Roman armies for Warmaster Ancients or possibly Basic Impetus. I bought them before Victrix & others started releasing hard plastic figures for the Punic Wars but the expense of switching has not tempted me to abandon the 1/72 Hat figures in favour of them, even if they do have clean up & paint adhesion issues.
Waiter, my soup is giggling.
