Plastic Modern Miniatures?
« on: 06 July 2016, 10:02:32 PM »
Always been surprised by the seeming complete lack of 28mm modern conflict plastic miniatures, especially as a big fan of plastic miniatures in general and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for modern plastic minis or perhaps suitable sets from other periods to convert from?
Thanks for any suggestions or help

For moderns you have some of the old 25mm (I don't care what the box says)  Battlefield EVO figs still floating around. Then you have the matic games 28mm modern US in there Mars attacks range.  Honestly though a bag of generic green army men seems to be about the same quality as those sculpts.
And finally there is wargames factory (now being sold by warlord games) Zombie game spec ops box.
They really are pretty Generic, but can be used for most nations special forces because SF can pick and choose what they like and will use for the most part.
But price wise you would be better off snaging some of the metal ranges out there. If your trying to go a more realistic look that is.
I don't know who what any of the model kit company are putting out in 1/50th scale at the moment so might have missed some thing for them.

The Airfix 1/48 'Operation Herrick' series is very nice.
I picked up a few boxes of the infantry sets but haven't put them together yet.
Building and painting tanks is my thing and I suck at painting people so I've been avoiding doing it. :(
