Palmetto scrub, how? (FOUND AWESOME TRICK update)
« on: August 15, 2010, 08:27:24 PM »
Hi guys,

I am working on Florida terrain (for Call of Cthulhu Innsmouth in Florida and 28mm and 15mm Seminole Wars)

Palmetto scrub.  I'm having little success making somthin' good.  Any ideas?

The damned stuff is all over my yard, yet I have yet to find a good way to replicate it  :-[

go to your local discount store and pillage the stocks f aquarium plants. I'm sure somebody makes some with little spikey clumps.

Cut off spikey clumps and glue to a base.

Seatrout suggested paper (cut and glue), good idea.

But at Wal Mart, I found in their floral section a large plastic plant that has hundreds of small, perfect lookoing palmetto fronds and stems.  For $2   :D

I will get pics
