Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce Fallout, a post-nuclear adventure board game based on Bethesda’s blockbuster video game series. In Fallout, one to four players take on a role within an irradiated landscape inspired by those in Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and their downloadable content expansions. With just a few locations pinpointed on their map, the players choose whether to work together or individually to explore these mysterious regions that lay before them. Along the way, each player will face a wealth of choices, deciding whether to pursue experience or Caps, collect loot or loyal companions, and progress the main quest line or veer off to the vaults. As the players move around the board, building their skills and filling their inventory, the area’s warring factions will gain power, forcing the players to pledge loyalty or defy conformity, all in pursuit of gaining the most influence of anyone else in the wasteland.

If the minis have the same quality as those from the Imperial Assault games, they'll be awesome.

Looks like we'll have plenty new official Fallout minis in the coming months.

I doubt that. The game as it is presented looks like it's taking place on a macro-level without tactical combat. The handful of miniatures supplied are nothing more than player tokens, there are no enemy or NPC miniatures whatsoever and this is not one of the popular miniature boardgames. I'd have preferred something like Descent: Road to Legend with an overworld map with various locations and seperate dungeon (vault) crawling that features tactical combat and exploration using miniatures.

It seems to be a Fallout Labeled slightly refurbished Runebound. Not my Taste, but I will buy one Copy to use the Tiles as Campaignmap for Wasteland Warfare.

If you don't want or plan to use the minis, I would take them off your hands. (Assuming they are anywhere near a 28-30mm scale.)

I can see myself getting this. Looks like a bit of fun and that there will be hardly any cross-over of game-play with the Modiphius Fallout game that should be soliciting pre orders soon.

That is, as far as I can see, there is room in my collection for both offerings.

So now there's a boardgame and a miniatures game coming out for Fallout, it's just a matter of time now before we get roleplaying rules too?!

FFG produces some fine games, but the wargame wins this one in my case.
I have a bit of a hard time putting the boardgames I have on the table and, while the same could be set for my wargames, I get far more enjoyement out of them due to modelling/painting.
Plus the wargame has solo-rules and that's something I want to experiment with.

Still, If you have the time and space for it in your collection, I'm sure it will make a fine addition.

There is/was a fan-made Fallout roleplaying game, I remember downloading it a few years ago. There were rules for playing as ghouls, robots, and even sentient Deathclaws like in Fallout 2.
