Laurel & Hardy
« on: September 29, 2016, 01:44:42 PM »
"Well that's another fine mess."

Stan and Ollie mess it up as part of our Jazz Age Highlanders as Sergeant Finlayson, their regular straight man, looks on with bemused concern.

This is our homage to the comedy geniuses. I give you Laurel & Hardy.......and James Finlayson.

Lovely stuff.

But, what with the Unfeasibly Legionnaires, that's two sets of Laurel and Hardy and not a bowler hat in sight.
Back from the dead, almost.

A great novel idea.  :D

Plus the Victorian men in black Agent L and Agent H from Ironclad...

James Finlayson ... ah, one of the great forgotten icons of comedy. He was the master of looking straight at camera from behind his huge moustache, squinting up one eye in disbelieving annoyance and saying, "D'ohhh!"

Fantastic stuff.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Thanks, I didn't know about those.  They do have bowlers, but I find them unrecognisable otherwise.

James Finlayson? I've been working in one of his original factory buildings this year.

The company still produces some fancy textiles. :P
