The Good, Bad & Ugly
« on: 16 October 2016, 12:31:59 PM »
Well we up here in sunny Shetland were proud to be part of the Good, Bad & Ugly international HoTT tournament, it was taken place in 10 locations around the world. the theme was "A walk in history" were a certain amount of the points had to be DBA compatible.

We had a fun day even though a few members were absent due to work, holidays etc. so here are some pictures, and for the record I came last though I think I had more points than last time. :?

My army and stronghold.

A few of the armies.

My hero general achieving my only victory of the day.

So a wonderful day was had and lessons learned, breats are crap, flyers are annoying and don't get your leader killed to soon.  ;D

Yes Beasts didn't perform to well.

My wee report :

Unfortunately due to some last minute cancellations we were down to 6 competitors. Although a few people did pop in during the day for a quick pick up game. They seemed pretty hooked and left planning the armies they were going to build.
We had :
Myself with Savannah Knights
Martin with Sumerians
Steve with Germans
Esther with Hebrew
Mark with Arabic
Sean with Greeks.
The outright winner was Martin who took home a lovely Black Hat miniatures VSF Martian army.
Sean was tail end Charlie for the second event running. He was consoled with a cracking Black Hat miniatures VSF British walker.
The most Gentlemanly player was Mark who received a Black Hat VSF British Steam tank. Mark incidentally traveled from Glasgow to be at the event. Which is like a 2 hour drive and an overnight ferry journey each way. So really deserved that recognition.

All taking part were delighted with their ensorcelled marker.

All in all a great day with some good games. I handed out another couple of copies of HOTT so hopefully we will some new armies appearing soon.
