28mm Witch Doctors...

Doesn't seem to be much doing if you want something bigger than a Pygmy! Unless they're using their powers to hide in plain sight?

Is there a question in there somewhere, Harry? There's something to be said for plain, direct speech, you know.  lol  Not sure I understand what you are driving at. Are you saying the available figures are all too small for your purposes or that all you can find are literal pygmy witchdoctor figures? Not sure I've even seen any pygmy ones, and there are a fair few that aren't. Without knowing exactly what you are asking for it's hard to respond.  ???

Anyway, if we're preceding under the assumption that you are looking for 28mm Witchdoctor recommendations, then the obvious answer is the Foundry pack from the Darkest Africa range. They are standard 28mm figures, really. Not huge, but not small either. Copplestone does a couple of izangoma in his Ngoni command pack if you prefer something more Zulu-looking. North Star Africa have a guy in a silly mask in their Congo chiefs pack. He could probably pass for a witchdoctor. They also do a Matabele witchdoctor in their Matabele characters pack.

Hope that helps.

Just thought of a couple more. In Foundry's Casting Room Miniatures offshoot they do a Zulu villagers pack. This contains both an isangoma (diviner/witch-smeller) and an inyanga (medical doctor).

Oh yes, and Empress Miniatures sell a Zulu isangoma (doing a cool little dance - either smelling out a wizard or doctoring an impi for war, I'd warrant) in their Zulu War range too. Mustn't forget them.

Here are three from my Darkest Africa stuff.
The first one is Foundry (he came with the Forest tribes pack)

The next one is also Foundry, but he's a masked tribal warrior to whom I added a Greenstuff snake

And finally, a Northstar chap who is really going for it. One of the free figures with the new Supplement

He looks great for a voodoo like mini. Who makes him? Is it irregular miniatures?

He is from the Eureka miniatures Pirate range but Irregular may sell him in the UK, not sure about that.

What about some of the classic Grenadier Barbarian Shamans?
They would fit the bill of Witch Doctor as well I think.
