A couple of months ago I obtained a copy of the new(ish) Soderbergh film Che El Argentino. It's a great little flick and it occurred to me that the Cuban Revolution would make an interesting period for skirmish games. Beards, berets n cigars a plenty, would make very colourful minis. You've got the T-shirt now buy the mini sorta thing.
So I've had a chat with a very good sculptor, who is interested in this as a project in 28mm. Now there are two ways I could go. Privately commission a range and then on-sell the minis to defray costs (potentially quite costly) or I could go to Eureka and launch it as a 100 club project and hope 9 other folk would get me over the 150 minis mark. That's likely to a lengthy process.
So I thought I would test the waters and see how many folk would be intrested in a range depicting Che, Fidel and the boys in the Sierra Maestra circa 1958. If they sell I'd get some suitable folks for Batista's army as well ( which would probably be fairly useful as generic troops).
Any takers?
Oh and here's the flick:
