Lightening GW Terracotta
« on: March 02, 2009, 06:27:57 PM »
Anyone have any idea what color (GW or Vallejo) I can use to lighten GW Terracotta? I was thinking maybe Vomit Brown? Previously I would have just used Tanned Flesh, but that's been phased out and my supply is almost gone.

I mix in light red.  I have used Bloody red - or whatever it's called.

If they're available at your end, use Vallejo Game Color Tan (as in tanned skin). VGC are copies of GW colours anyways, so they're pretty close matches (and better paints, if you ask me).

As OT says, and some light red to the terracotta colour you're using, or you could add in a small amount of tanned flesh or elf flesh - but don't overdo it with adding the light flesh colour, or it gets too light quite quickly :)
