Salute Photos 2017(pic heavy)
« on: April 24, 2017, 01:21:55 PM »
Hi there.

I thought it was worth showing my pictures from this years Salute. There wasn't many great display boards. As I've said elsewhere, there was a lot of games played over blankets, carpets and battle mats. Not ideal for the biggest show in the U.K.!

I've not taken anywhere near as many photos as I used to!

The best game by far was Jimbibblys Samurai game....

Next up was an Infinity game board. Interesting colour scheme used here....

4Ground had a few display boards on show....

As did Mierce Miniatures.....

These were a couple of display games for the upcoming game, Drowned Earth...

And a pretty cool D-day landing game....

This was a Jurassic Park game....

I'm afraid I didn't get any information on these last few pics

The pic with the windmill is TooFatLardies Sharp Practice Spain 1811 IIRC. Played 3 times for the day.

Some nice photos there of some good looking set ups Andy. James' table looks pretty damn spectacular.

The naval landing against the IKEA fort was called The Mosquito something - I think it won some 'Best in Show'
I thought it was a terrific table.

Definitely a decline I guess overall from 2014 (last time I visited Salute) for the general level of demo's but enjoyed myself nonetheless.

As always the TFL game was very popular and Rich was on form!
I came, I saw, I went home again..

That was by  Dalauppror and it won two awards on the day.
