I don't love the metal one posted, but I'd be interested in a plastic kit perhaps.  I like "classic" Lizardmen or Naga-esque w/ the tails.

It's okay, but I agree that I'd hope for the eventual plastic models to be more serpentine/lizardy. They don't need to be snakes with arms, but they definitely could be a bit more snake-like than that metal figure.

The body is pretty generic really- take off the head and you've got the basic humanoid you can find in other kits.

More 'serpenty' would be a good thing, for all sorts of applications.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Agreed.  More serpenty would be better.  I have many old GW lizardmen and Reaper Bones lizardmen.  What I would like are more Dark Souls-esque serpent men or Yuan-ti serpentmen.  This is probably a little irrelevant, since the fiction, design, and art are almost certainly done by now, but longer, more serpenty snakes would be greatly appreciated.

Until these emerge, check out Tim Prow / Diehard Miniatures' Snakemen - proper old school style with snake like bodies rather than legs.  The range includes some skeletal ones too.  But I will also vote for a box set ideally that has a mix of snakey and leg-type bodies so a wide range of mutations can be constructed.

They do look like the snakemen from the cover of the book though... Will certainly buy some when released :)

If you're looking for plastic serpentmen, check these out. They are for the board game "Shadows of Brimstone"

Is it just me, or does he look like he needs a bit of a nap?

Perhaps it's a bit early in the morning and the heat of the sun hasn't reached him yet ...  lol

My preferences lie in the "serpenty legs" category.

However, regardless of how they're sculpted, that's an easy conversion.

So I ordered the Serpentmen Of Jargono boxed set. It looks really nice, an obvious wizard and a lot of melee backup.

I ordered a couple of this guy here for some ranged support:

Reaper Bones is easy enough to convert for properly equipped Archers or Trackers.

And this one here as the apprentice:

And that is a snake-dude warband for Frostgrave coming in the mail next week.

Have you guys noticed that in the updated cover you can see a cobra serpentman as wizard?
