Bearing the Plague (Daemons in a day!)
« on: May 15, 2017, 04:47:59 AM »
To accompany an upcoming Chaos force (for 40K actually but I feel these miniatures better suit this board), here are 20 plastic GW plaguebearers that I did today.  I decided not to flat the dip, as I like the greasy/shiny/pussy look on these guys.

It's also fun that the cheating method made it so easy, I've never done 20 miniatures in a day before.  Hurrah!  lol

The glossy look works great on them. Very nice, they sure don't look like you did them in that short time.

Lovely work on the Plaguebearers. And the snake's belly scales - that painted or an outcome of using the dip?

Great work!  Love how they all came out.

Where is the old lady from?

Von, that's just the dip.  The "old lady" is Estra the Iconic Spiritualist from Reaper's Pathfinder range - gorgeous figure.

Those Plague Bearers are a perfect example of models ideally suited to dipping - really excellent results, well done!  8)

Pretty much anything that would fit a nurgle theme fits dipping I guess. Worms, Plague things, anything with guts hanging out or slimy.

Why do you think I'm doing a Death Guard/Nurgle 40K themed force?  lol

Much better for dipping than pesky Eldar! (and simply put, I want to have two armies so I can run games for my nephew, and so I can finally have some baddies)
